Job Description

Join our team at African Industries Group as a Ladle Man! Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of ladles and appropriate refractories as per shift instructions.
• Fixing and maintaining standard clearance of slide gate systems.
• Periodic cleaning of porous plugs and inspecting ladles to ensure timely access.
• Maintaining a slag and metal-free environment on the top portion of the ladle.
• Ensuring standard temperature before sending the ladle to the furnace and communicating ladle history to the melter man.
• Compliance with safety protocols and regulations while wearing PPE.
