Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Firsthand Operator to join our team at African Industries Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparation of ladles and appropriate refractories as per the shift in charge instructions.
- Practicing the fixing and standard clearance of slide gate systems.
- Regularly cleaning porous plugs and inspecting ladles for timely access.
- Maintaining a slag and metal-free top portion of the ladle for cleanliness.
- Ensuring standard temperature of ladles before sending them to the furnace.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations, including wearing PPE.
